Irfanview Irfanview is media viewing and editing freeware software. With it you can view and edit almost every type of picture, video, and sound files. I use it mostly for pictures.

dBase Contrary to popular opinion dBase is not dead and gone. While it is not used as often any more as it used to be it is still a great way to build a database application.
